There are 2(two) Central Govt. Scheme namely 1. National Food Security Act. 2013 (NFSA) implemented by Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Department under Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Diphu, since 2015 and 2. Pradhan Mantri Ujjala Yojana Scheme (PMUY) implemented by Oil marketing company with a supervision by Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Department under Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Diphu, since 2016.

1. National Food Security Act, 2013

The National Food Security Act, 2013 (also Right to Food Act) is an Act of the Parliament of India which aims to provide subsidized food grains to approximately two thirds of India's 1.2 billion people. It was signed into law on 12 September 2013, retroactive to 5 July 2013.
The National Food Security Act, 2013 (NFSA 2013) converts into legal entitlements for existing food security programmes of the Government of India. It includes the Midday Meal Scheme, Integrated Child Development Services scheme and the Public Distribution System. Further, the NFSA 2013 recognizes maternity entitlements. The Midday Meal Scheme and the Integrated Child Development Services Scheme are universal in nature whereas the PDS will reach about two-thirds of the population (84.17% in rural areas and 60.35% in urban areas). Assam government implemented Act on 24 December 2015.

2. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY)

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 1st May, 2016 to safeguard the health of poor women & children by providing them with a clean cooking fuel- LPG, so that they do not have to compromise their health in smoky kitchens or wander in unsafe areas collecting firewood. Under this scheme, LPG connections has been provided to BPL families with support of Rs. 1600/- per connection.
